Senior righthander who missed all of 2022 and the first half of 2023 due to injury, but became one of the team’s top relievers late in the 2023 season … two-time ACC Academic Honor Roll member … transfer from Furman, which discontinued its program after the 2020 season … in his sixth college season … in 108.1 innings pitched over 56 appearances (eight starts) and four active seasons, including two at Furman and two at Clemson, he has an 8-4 record, five saves and a 3.82 ERA while allowing 96 hits (.238 opponents’ batting average) and 49 walks with 98 strikeouts.
2023: Had an 0-1 record, two saves and a 1.56 ERA in 12 relief appearances … in 17.1 innings pitched, he allowed 12 hits (.200 opponents’ batting average) and three walks with 21 strikeouts … did not allow a steal … did not allow any of his eight inherited baserunners to score … held opponents to .143 with runners in scoring position and .176 with two outs … pitched 2.0 perfect innings in relief with two strikeouts against Notre Dame on April 14 … pitched 2.0 innings in relief, allowing one hit and no runs with four strikeouts against Georgia on April 18 … pitched 1.1 hitless and scoreless innings in relief with one strikeout in the second game of a doubleheader at No. 11 Boston College on April 28 … pitched 1.0 innings in relief, allowing no hits, no runs and no walks with one strikeout to record the save against No. 22 Louisville on May 6 … pitched 2.2 innings in relief, allowing two hits and no walks with three strikeouts at No. 8 Coastal Carolina on May 10 … pitched 1.2 innings in relief, allowing one hit, no runs and no walks with two strikeouts to record the save against North Carolina on May 20 … pitched 1.1 innings in relief, allowing one hit, no runs and no walks with three strikeouts against No. 9 Tennessee in the Clemson Regional on June 3 … played for Cotuit in the Cape Cod League in the summer, when he was 1-0 with two saves, a 7.59 ERA and 19 strikeouts in 10.2 innings pitched over seven relief appearances.
