Black panther passes away from cancer

Aug 29, 2020, 1:07 AM

Cant believe this is real. Yes, Chad Boseman, the black panther, has passed. Uhhhhh whuutt??? Literally in disbelief right now. He was from Anderson, SC. Rest in peace brother. Just another reason to hate 2020. ??

A sad day, and another reminder to have a complete physical every year. A colonoscopy can save your life.

This is unfortunate. He drew some really bad cards.Dying at 43 from colon cancer while being diagnosed in 2016(age 39) is really unusual. It is highly unlikely that that this would have been picked up by a routine physical and it's unlikely he would have been recommended to have a colonoscopy so young. However, if you have no family history of colon cancer, have a colonoscopy at age 50. If you have a family history of colon cancer or polyps, begin colonoscopy at age 40 or 10 years prior to the youngest diagnosed case in a first degree relative. I don't know if this would have applied to this individual? I've had 5 of them and I'm in my mid 60's. I started early based on family history. If those of you out there haven't had the procedure, it's a breeze. Do it! It may save you from a needless and rough death. If you wait until you have symptoms, it may well be too late. That's my PSA for the week! Seriously, do yourself and your family a favor and schedule an appointment. I've lost 2 good friends who never had a colonoscopy. Don't become a statistic.

Very sad--Chadwick Boseman attended my HS.
