Despite intending not to watch last night, I did watch some.

Oct 16, 2020, 7:18 AM

And it reinforces what I have said - If it were just Biden himself, I might vote for him. But no way can I support the cancel culture, communist ways of his party. He's the Democrat party of the 90s I could be OK with. Problem is, it's the 2020s.

When he gets elected (most likely) we will have someone who can bring some dignity back to the office and at least espouse unity as an ideal (though we're likely to continue to divide even more).

Trump, OTOH, just did Trump. The schtick has gotten old. He's not "reading the room" as they say. It's not 2016 and he's not facing Hitlery.

There are now two Americas. I hate that it has come to this.

Sums it up well. You're definitely reading the room.

My view of Biden is the same as your view of Trump. He will never have dignity in my eyes. The only difference is that I’ll have higher taxes and less upon retirement. Thanks.

the taxes & wealth part is true. Sucks.***

Keowee,

The experts at Moody's financial disagree with you.

And yet you're still voting for Trump?

Oct 16, 2020, 8:03 AM

that's what I don't get from these people who see how bad Trump is and how back to normal Biden would be but still vote for Trump.

What exactly do you think Biden is going to do? Pass the GND, UHC? Raise Minimum Wage? Even with both houses, that is not going to happen

The fact is these pubs screaming socialism if Biden gets the presidency or that he will be 25th don't have a leg to stand on after that strong performance.

Dude can go 4 years.

Perhaps a return to a world where:

facts matter more than illusion

the President doesn't constantly denigrate Americans

Dems & Repubs might actually find ways to work together on a few things

the President actually reads his briefing materials and listens to his experts

I could go on, but if we just get these things then we can move forward together in some semblance of reality.

WHY CAN'T WE HAVE 2 GOOD CHOICES!

Every election, we have to pick "the lesser of two evils"........

ATL,

First of all, I think communism is way too far left to be attached to the Democratic Party, even AOC & her crew.

But more importantly, I encourage you to vote for Joe. He will be a moderating influence on future policy and if the Repugs hold onto the Senate, Joe will be our best bet for a return to mormalcy and some sense of bipartisanship.

It won't be Shagri-la, but we could undo most of the damage caused by Trump and that would be as good start.

I live in Virginia, where the Dems have a super majority.

It is definitely Socialism, if not Communism.

Don't get me started...
