Call them what you want, but they were deemed as legal plays. Some people need to just get over it, because to keep bringing it up as though they weren't legit plays just shows your bitterness on our National Championship!!

Nah, not bitter at all. Glad you guys are relevant again. It's Good for football. I also understand what pick/rub plays are and what makes them legal/not legal. I just think that plays like that (whether they are deemed legal or not) are cheapening/underminding the integrity of the game.

How do you feel about DB's grabbing receivers coming off the LOS? Does that cheapen the integrity of the game?

1. Yep, they were....they were LEGAL pick plays, because the defender engaged in one, and Leggett showed signs of running a route on the second. But that can be read on an Alabama site, fRon the head ref himself:

Also, class act for calling me prick, even tho I said nothing offensive. I haven't read anything ab those plays on here before and was hoping for some friendly/intelligent banter/dialogue. I Didn't say they were illegal either. Just think those gimmick plays are unfair to defenses and that teams should be able to run their offenses with out the need for them.
Also, I see u are a drummer. Are u better than the Clemmy snare player that ruined the beginning of the SSB at the NC game? #baddiddles

I disagree with your comment that this is a gimmick play. If you watch football you will see this play run in some form or fashion by any team that throws a forward pass. Gimmick plays are punt a rooskie and such plays as this which were made famous by Bobby Bowden.

Not sure what ur talking ab...Citadel?.. But anywho, yeah Louisville caught us w the perfect Storm. They had played nobody Prior to us and 2 of our best players went down the week before. No excuse. They beat us bad.

..and just as a fair view..
UNC barely beat that same Pitt team that barely beat Clemson (37-36 was their final)...but lost to VT and NC State...and Stanford.
Pitt barely lost to VT who played Clemson in the ACC Championship (39-36), beat Clemson only by 1 (with the help of a South Carolina Gamecock graduate head ref), but also beat Penn State, the Big 10 Champion.
