I guess a lot of folks decided on the refund.....

I don't think 100 points would influence my decision. Heck, 100 points would not budge your place in line these days. But whatever.....

Not getting the 100 points will push you way back though.

Of course I am assuming that most people take the 100 points. It really doesn't seem completely fair if these are real priority points because the member donating $25,000 gets the same number of bonus points as the member donating $60.
Go Tigers!!!

Ur correct. The folks not getting the 100 will fall back. And the 25,000 buck donor of course has already been credited with his regular points. The 100 won’t be a big deal to them.

They are not trying to reward people for being loyal, they are trying to punish those who ask for a refund.
“Oh, you want a refund? Enjoy having less priority than the $60/year donors” -IPTAY, probably.

I like the idea to encourage donors not to request refunds, but was surprised to see that donors at all levels will receive the same bonus. Seems like that will effectively dilute the value of hard-earned points, unless many opt for refunds.

So, there was a footnote at the bottom of the email that said, “ Note: Additional bonus points opportunities are available for premium seat holders and will be communicated separately.”
Not sure what constitutes a “premium seat” though. Anyone have any ideas?

100 or 50 points is not going to change the pecking order among the faithful Tiger fans. I think it is just a question as to whether you want to donate any money to the athletic programs in a year in which you only get the enjoyment of watching on TV. Not sure what I am going to do yet ..... have already opted out on tickets.

IPTAY is forcing you to donate because you can't just give up 100 free points.
You'll be way behind for future playoff tickets and such.

Just me... my donation is a donation

I do it all at once in the winter, walk away and don't think about it.
I treat it the same same as a donation to United way or child cancer research.
I couldn't afford season tickets the first 8 or so years I donated to iptay. I donated and scalped tickets when I could.
So I had no intention of getting that money back. To me a donation is a donation.
I'm hoping I can get tickets. If not the measly 5 points won't convince me to donate that money. I'll probably just redshirt and use that money for next year's tickets.
But I won't say no to 100 points either.

I could be wrong, but I think 100 points would significantly move your place in line. What do you think is the average donor point total?
Now if everyone elected to take the bonus, you wouldn't move. But, if you were one of the few that didn't, you could slide down significantly.

the ones with less than 100 points. I think I'm in the 450 range .. another 100 wont really do much for me. I would rather they roll my donation over to next year.

I have 180 points and I've noticed that 200 is often the cutoff on getting more tix (bowls )An extra 100 points will be very beneficial to me

Most people are probably gonna do this deal, so it's basically just gonna screw those who don't while minimally impacting those who do.

Not too sure that’s true. Lower level donors would be more likely to leave their 2020 IPTAY donation in for $25,000 worth of points, but higher level donors would be paying a lot just to hold their place, and get very little else - no tailgating, different seat location, 6 game season if we are lucky.

Have issues getting bowl Tix and such.
But yeah if you give big money, it's a wash.
If you're lower level donor and you don't do this, then that's not smart.

I’m just amazed by how many points some of ya’ll have. I’ve managed to scrape and claw my way to 70 priority points over the course of 10 years so this 100 point gift is a no brainer for me.

Never thought about asking for a refund, donation is a donation. But those 100 points help make sure that newbie future donors that dump $$$ trying to get better seating won't succeed, as those of us who have been donating in Champion to Jervy range for years will be safe for a few years.
