Mac Brown just said "keep DW4 in the pocket"

Citing that DW4's interceptions, more often than not, come from when he throws from the pocket.

Is there any agreement on that? Would love to hear analysis from some of you guys who know what they're talking about. From what I can tell, our offense is pretty accustomed to an "open pocket" style of play.

From my memory he is probably right.....however I will gladly take it if they slow their pass rush in an attempt to keep containment. The reality is that very few interceptions were a result of a bad throw....

He is correct. Although DW is a great pocket passer, he is the most dangerous when he is able to move around and create plays.

Most of Deshaun's ints have come from predetermined throws. If he sees Mike Williams (or any other receiver) in a 1:1 scenario he's throwing that way. Dbs have keyed in on that. I can see why Mack would say that, but it's not because DW is bad at reading the field and going through is progressions. It's because he made a pre-snap read and stuck with it.
