My concern still after 2 games is WR!

Sep 19, 2020, 8:19 PM

The guys have talent but I am not seeing the aggressiveness to get the ball. Seem to let CB control the position more. I know we don't have Ross and Tee, but we have talent. I just don't see the aggressiveness to take ball into possession except for Rogers. I hope it's just young ones and not the difference in coaching from Jeff Scott? I said last week and saying again this week, WRs need to be more aggressive at ball. Carry-on young masters! Show me!

Didn't see much separation from a couple of the young receivers. I think they will get better at route running. I think EJ looked pretty good, as well as out veterans. Curious why our TEs were not more involved.

We don't have a "high pointer" like Williams or Tee yet...

Neither Ladson, Ajou, or Ngata showed it today. Powell doesn't have it, either. Neither does Amari or EJ. This was an important skill at WR against Alabama and Ohio State.

WR's will improve with timing,

But the glaring issue that I see offensively is the O-line. Snap issues, depth isn't quite there yet. This was a huge reason we've had the great years we've had recently.

The other pink elephant in the room is our defensive backs. They seem to be peeking in the backfield to much, not getting any contact on press coverage & not as much speed back there as we've had. Other than Turner & Kendrick (when he's in), those young guys seem a little lost. They have me a little worried when we start playing teams that have better receivers & QB's that can get it to them better.
