Moving on

Nov 23, 2020, 12:04 PM

This weekends game with Pitt is really an important game for the Tigers. With all that has happened recently theTigers should be really excited to get back on the field for the first time since the disappointment in South Bend. Pitt was the last team to get a win in DeathValley in what seems to be many years ago. I’m anxious to get back in the valley myself.
I watched much of the Pitt game Saturday and they looked especially good against a VPI team that has been up and down all season.

Do you think the Tigers will be even more focused with the events of the past weekend? No way they come in without a chip on their shoulder.

FSU certainly would have been more of a warm-up type game to prep the Tigers for the stretch run of the season.

Now we will be thrust into a game with a team that is feeling like they can beat anybody now that their starting QB is healthy again.

I think the combination of the Tigers having to knock off some rust along with Pitt's offense and defense playing well will make this a tightly contested ballgame.

If you start to look at Clemson's depth chart, it's amazing how long it has been since some of our starters have gotten live game action.

I agree. The point spread is way too big, IMHO.

I agree.

It will be interesting to see how the well-rested and healthier vs rusty nature of our team battles it out on Saturday.

I think 16-18 is a little more reasonable based on how Pitt has played lately.

I thought Pitt looked good Saturday too and am concerned about the game. Think about it they had 16 players out including 3 starters on the Oline. They are similar to the team that beat us in '17. They are strong in the trenches, have a senior QB with some good skill players. I am not sure how they have lost 4 games other I know their QB was hurt for a while.

They lost 2 games by 1 point with their starting QB and they lost the other 2 without their starting QB.

I wouldn't expect lack of focus to be a concern, but perhaps health and rust could be.

Sometimes the road to the truth is so elusive it's confusing and reality becomes illusion.

Pitt game? They ran a little shuffle pass up the middle a number of times and the Tigers never could defend it.All the Tigers needed to do was run the clock down and kick a field goal and they had a PI in the end zone to give the Panthers all the time they needed. Terrible game to accept.

That last Pitt game was a blowout in CLT 2 years ago :)***
