The San Francisco 49ers announced that they have released receiver Jaron Brown. In 2019, Brown had 16 catches for 220 yards and two touchdowns with the Seattle Read Update »

The contract structure is the problem.
Older free agents are more expensive. Same thing happened to Jacoby Ford....
Hope he catches on, the Houston Texans need receivers for DW4.

If he doesn't get picked up he has had a nice 7 year career and probably made close to 10 million. He has a degree from Clemson and he is only 30 years old too. He will also get the NFL pension when he turns 55.

He's a good dude too. Met him at the NC Playoff central in PHX in 2015....great guy. Hope he gets another shot...

catches everything near him and seems to fit in well. With all the complaints about teams needing receivers, seems he would be in demand.

No doubt, he’ll be picked up as long as he’s in shape, he’s to consistent. If not immediately after a week or two he’ll be needed. WRU!
