How many of you went to Clint's Barbershop? Down below Subway. I remember him having his Marine pictures on the wall, wish I paid them more attention and talked to him more.
You had to be careful when you said you wanted a short haircut.

Where was Charlie and Al's butcher shop? (nickname)
Remember Clint's was a hot dog shop for a while.
Forgot about the record store.
I got my hair cut at Clemson House. Asked for a shave once with the hot towel and everything. Didn't have to shave for a week.

I went to the Clemson House Barber Shop for many years, Jake, Dennis and Joe. When the Clemson House closed, Joe went to Central and has a one seat shop. I still go there. I could use a haircut right now. My eyebrows look like two white delivery trucks going down I-85.

Went there once a month in early 90’s. At first he didn’t say much but as you got to know him, he would talk a lot. But overall a good man.

Haircuts were easy to get..... if you were a rat! That’s one tradition that will never be brought back, or equaled.
I always got my trim at the old Y. As did most of my classmates.

Clint always asked, "Short or Shorter?" If you chose shorter, you had very little hair left.

That's funny. When I was a Marine in Viet Nam I was in a one platoon compound in Tam Ky. Our Navy Corpsman was also our barber ..... of course with zero training how to cut hair. Among his Corpsman "stuff" was haircut kit, with to best of my knowledge, no instruction manual. I got mine cut in the village by a Vietnamese dude that used the old clippers that you had to operate by hand. He was actually pretty good.

When I was working in Pakistan and it was time for a haircut, I had one of my Pakistani interpreters write the instructions so I could give it to the barber. Several Pakistani men always came in to see what a grey-haired man's hair looked like on a floor covered with black hair. I didn't know what hey were sating nut when they pointed to the grey hair on the floor and put a hand to their head, I knew what the conversation was about.

I was a Charles and Al's guy. It was only 30 years ago, so I don't remember much. I wish they could cut my hair RIGHT NOW!! Looking kinda rough.
