The loss came down to 2 elements: 3 TO vs 1 34 rushing yds vs 208

That simple.

It wasn’t play calling or bad D. Sure we had players out, that is part of the game. This year we have had more than our share. But when playing a well coached good team you have to not turn the ball over and win the line of scrimmage. We did neither and still went to OT.

The game is simple and the formula to win when you have 2 good teams playing has been the same for more than a 100 years.

Actually no.
It came down to 1 element. They scored more points.
Doesn't matter how it happened, who was out, that their quarterback had the game of his life, or we were out coached, or we turned the ball over.
Heck, you can even say they had the "Luck of the Irish" or "Touchdown Jesus" was on their sideline.
None of that matters.
In the end the clock said 47-40 home team with 00:00 on the scoreboard.
And it don't get any more simple than that.

You sound like a gamecock fan. "Well, that's the result, guess we lost again"

Thankfully, Clemson coaches break down film from every game. Praise & reinforce the good things, and work to improve the bad (mistakes)

So, yes, you analyze what went wrong, and go back to work. If you really follow Clemson football, you know the mantra is to keep improving. Best is the standard!

Go Tigers!

Agreed. And still went to double OT! Amazing.

The fumble for 6 was so huge, even though we seemed to have recovered from it later. That’s just a tough play to win a game with. Got away with it at home against BC, but not on the road at ND.
