I'm clearly a terrible, hate-filled person. I should be ashamed.

Me too. Sports used to be my passion but now it’s like the news media. It has become nothing but a greedy money making machine. Players and Coaches are overpaid, seems like most every announcer has some political agenda. There is constant controversy and way to much politics.

I reflect on the good old days when we would leave at 7:30 or 8 am go to a noon or 1 pm kickoff. We would tailgate before and after the game. Get home about 6 or 7 pm. We listened to Jim Philip’s post game show on the way home. Very simple life. We may spend $125 to $150. Now if you can get tickets and tailgate with friends without spending $300 to $400 you are fortunate.

When I first joined Tigernet 90% of the topics on the football board was about football. And this last week or so it has been mostly politics. Social Media is one of the worst things to happen to sports. Some People hide behind screen names and use a sports board like TigerNet to promote everything but sports.

That's just it - kind of hard to talk about sports when no

sports is being played. I sure hope the NCAA allows for an extended Summer session of football practices to make up for the loss of Spring football. If they do we could see some formal football practices starting in July...

What are sports? This is an upstate South Carolina politics board! Go take your sports somewhere else!
