Start the bus, this thing is ovah!

Nov 5, 2020, 11:46 PM

Biden will be much more moderate than the trumpers think. He is not socialist. He is not going to take anyone's guns. He is not going to defund the police. He is not going to tax fossil fuels. Regarding coal and oil, he is only suggesting that we gradually roll back the billions of dollars in subsidies that have been in place for decades. he will not pursue the green new deal. That is a pie in sky deal that only hurt moderate democrats. It will never be implemented. The government will not take over healthcare. Remain calm. Joe will govern more so from the middle than any president we have seen in decades. However, if fox news is your only news source, you will simply be unaware of this, today, tomorrow and for the next four years.

We’ve said this the whole time.

He isn’t going to do anything. It’s not because he’s moderate. It’s because he’s an empty shell of a politician that goes whatever way the wind is blowing... and right now that blue wind is blowing in a strong socialist direction. The only reason he won’t put that crazy socialist agenda into full play is because of the senate.

Somebody posted a Fox poll earlier... 70% believe that

climate change is a major issue... Considering the roughly 50/50 breakdown on many of the other political issues, I found that interesting.

Nothing socialist in there chief. Wake up. This is simply smart business. and don't confuse Joe's plan w the green new deal. He is not pursuing the green new deal. Don't buy Donald's lies. This isn't about saving the planet. Nobody will pursue climate change unless it make business sense and it DOES. This is business. The demise of the coal industry is driven by very conservative utility company executives that are closing coal plants and switching their generation mix to solar, wind, storage. And for a few more decades nat gas. Then after about 10 years you'll see nat gas replaced by hydrogen. Don't ask trump about this, he's still promising to bring back the coal jobs. Seriously, he is so dated it's sad. But back to Joe. This is business. This is economics. The numbers don't make sense for coal and oil, so there is no reason to subsidize them anymore. Joe is talking about gradually rolling back that massive subsidy (billions annually). BP oil is eliminating fossil fuels from their balance sheet. Do you think they are doing that at the direction of any government? No. Credit agencies are attaching greater risk to fossil fuel balance sheets and less risk to renewables. If you understood the economics and risk profile of renewables you would then understand why an increasing amount of fixed income 401ks, mutual funds and ETFs are investing in renewables. They are doing so based on smart investing. Coal companies are missing loan payments, going into bankruptcy, reorganizing, etc. Joe's plan is to help the coal miners retrain to new industries. That's a tough task, but every politician (left and right) has lied to the coal miners for decades. At least he is not telling them he will bring the coal jobs back. So, where would you invest? Do you want to be the last buggy whip manufacturer?

Got any other alleged socialist plans form Biden?

I tend to agree because at the end of the day there is not a huge difference D and R. They are all corrupt and beholding to Wall Street, big Pharm, the Insurance industry and military complex.

Just like Roe vs Wade is not going away, guns will not be outlawed. Both will probably become a little more strictive and that is probably not a bad thing.
