I just worry because our military leadership seems worried that we are leaving right when we are so close to a possible peace treaty goal and that it might destabilize the area again. Then what would be the point of the last 20 years? But maybe that'll always be the case and we'll never leave? But then we also have troops in Germany and throughout Europe so maybe it's not that atypical to maintain a presence in Afghanistan?
I don't know.
