Watching Clemson NC State from 2012... Wow what a game

Nov 20, 2020, 3:19 PM

I was at this game and remember the swing of emotions back and forth in first half before our Tigers pulled away 62-48. It was 24-13 NC State before a 42-0 run ?????? In fact, Clemson scored 0 in 4th quarter which is crazy, 62 points in 3 quarters!! What a fun game!!

Did that team have our best wide receiver platoon of all time ???
Nuk Hopkins
Sammy Watkins
Martavius Bryant
Adam Humphries

Add Andre Ellington who was great receiver out of backfield.... just rarely used when you have 3 beasts running routes downfield lol.

If Bryant could have stayed clean he would still be among the best receivers in the league. He had really strong years at Pittsburgh with Big Ben, including the between the legs catch in the playoffs for a TD....unreal catch!!

BTW : I still say Tajh Boyd deep pass was best ever at Clemson, and that’s saying something with our last few QB’s. Maybe it was those all world receivers who just went and got every deep pass it seemed.

Boyd never threw 50/50 passes, only 70/30 passes
