Everybody's talking about the O-line, D-line, injuries, etc

Nov 11, 2020, 8:58 AM

But looking back at the BC and the ND games, I see one thing that would have kept BC out of the game and put us on top of ND:

Protect the dang ball! Key turnovers were the difference with ND and almost the difference with BC.

We can't control the refs. We can't control injuries and how other teams coach and scheme against us. But we can completely control that we protect the football!

Clemson needs to not beat Clemson. We hold onto the ball,

we are HARD to beat. Give things to the other team, and in turn give them hope, tends to lead to problems!

I know the fumbles sucked for ETN, but I put some of the blame on the O line still. He can’t even get the handoff without two people in his face.

I'd expect with Trevor the handoffs would have been better.

Still ET's fault, especially the one in the ND game. He took his eye off the ball when he saw the guy coming and then tipped it to the guy.

It should have been a 10 yard loss, not a interception for a touchdown.

Or, and I know it's crazy here, or maybe the OL shouldn't

have let a LB crash through the line and blow up the play before Travis had a chance to take a step with the ball...Novel concept, I know, but these are crazy times

Yep, he was about to get blown up on both of those fumbles

and that was almost certainly a big factor in his momentary lapses of concentration that led to them.
