Wow. Just...wow. There's an article here over on Techsideline.com about Fuente discussing the guys he's losing. It shows the slight...difference in philosophy, let's say, between Dabo and Fuente.

Quincy Patterson has entered the transfer portal, so where does that leave the Virginia Tech quarterback depth chart heading into the Clemson game?


So basically: these were guys who weren't good enough and wanted PT so they needed to move to a lower level...while the guys who transferred in were better and helped so it ended up being a net gain for them.

So really, those massive transfers in and out he's having are a good thing. (He had 19 guys in the portal at one point last year. Awesome, Fu. No, really, that's what his coaches call him: "Fu".)

Gosh, I wonder why so many fellas were bailing on him?

Can you imagine Dabo talking this way about any of his players, in the dry dispassionate tones of a corporate rightsize expert discussing how many people to lay off this quarter to maximize shareholder profits?

Quincy Patterson is leaving with nothing but good things to say about his time at VT. He's handling it with class and I wish him well.

All I can say is if Braxton Burmeister is part of their plan at QB, VaTech is doomed.

He got some playing time as a freshman at Oregon a couple of years ago when Justin Herbert was injured. Let's just say he didn't appear to have any potential at all.
