2017 composite QB List Here.

Oct 19, 2020, 10:52 PM

Look at 23, 27, 28, 29.

Hunter Johnson was rated higher than Tua!

Bama is currently going with #29 on this list as their starting/star QB. Yet another call out to the heads who get "overly worried" about not getting the very top of a position during a recruiting cycle. It will be okay! Our coaches have a real eye for under-valued talent!
They take pride in the "developmental" part of the game! Of course, having some ready to play 4 and 5 star guys helps as you build those lower rated players up "if they need it"! Sometimes a kid maybe didn't play in a advantageous system to showcase their talents in H.S. I.E. a kid who would be an amazing WR but plays in a double wing offense! They get evaluated lower than they should and end up being stars! So, breath and trust the best coaching staff in CFB.

What's funny is if Tua had stayed at Alabama this season

Oct 19, 2020, 11:02 PM

His WR's would've been Jerry Jeudy, Henry Ruggs III, DeVonta Smith and Jaylen Waddle.

With the Dolphins he has DeVante Parker and that's it as far as quality WR's.

His corps of receivers would've been 100 times better staying in college for his senior season than it is in the NFL.

Maybe you didn't know that Jeudy and Ruggs also went pro with Tua.

Bama's receiving corps is practically barren at this point.

JK! Jones has gotta be throwing to somebody besides just Smith and Waddle.

It's their OL. I don't know that Bama has faced a really complicated twisting and game playing DL yet. They didn't handle it too well last time. Georgia doesn't because they beat people with basically base defense. Clemson's defense if much more versatile.

About the attached list - when you look at number 1 and number 2 and what has happened in their careers so far. Is it not crazy? Some of the kids further down are in a much better position to have been drafted or to get drafted.

Reason # 193 for not over-worrying about being at the top of a position in recruiting battles! It pays off sometimes; but it's not 100%.
