Ajou first td

Oct 20, 2020, 12:34 PM

Should have stood. Toe was down in bounds and was ball controlled. Hats off to Ajou for still coming back and getting a td.

Yeah, but his second TD was even "awesomer" so I guess

The whole foot has to come down in bounds

Oct 20, 2020, 12:38 PM

We had this happen a season or two ago with a different receiver; toes clearly in bounds but heel of the foot came down on the line.

I respectfully disagree. Then why does a one foot toe tap do it on some catches.

I think the rule states something like:

If the heel never hits, then a toe tap counts for in bounds, but if the player lets their heel come to the ground, then the whole foot has to be in.

I'm not saying it makes sense, but that's how the rule is written.

A toe tap can count as the second foot. That only matters in the NFL. You need the entire foot in college.
