Joins cousin Norman Haynes as a Tiger gridder ... comes to Clemson after a sterling all-around athletic career at Cedar Shoals High School ... earned a total of 10 varsity letters in three different sports ... played football for John Waters ... in addition to earning three letters in football (at three different positions), he garnered letters in basketball (3) and track (4) ... voted most valuable performer in both basketball and football ... selected to play in the Florida-Georgia All-Star game this past summer ... played for the North squad in Georgia's state all-star game last fall ... as a sophomore he caught 12 receptions at tight end for 260 yards and two touchdowns ... playing flanker as a junior he was on the receiving end of 29 passes for 760 yards (26 yards per reception) and seven TDs ... switching to quarterback as a senior he completed 53 of 107 passes for 1200 yards and nine scores ... he also rushed for 590 yards (12.4 yards per carry) and ran for eight TDs born 12/14/67 in Athens, GA.
