The Tigers keep stockpiling impressive non-conference wins.

Clemson stays undefeated with a 64-56 win over Alabama in the Holiday Hoopsgiving contest on Saturday night.

The Tigers shot 47.5 percent from the field and held the Crimson Tide to only 30.4 percent overall. The Tide were known for streaky three-point shooting skills, but they were only 3-22 in the contest, which was one of the keys of the game.

"Our effort was unbelievable. Coach [Nate] Oats told me after the game that we're the hardest-playing team they've played against this year, so that was a nice compliment," Brownell told the media following the win. We shot a decent percentage in the game. There were some hustle plays and baskets made possible by offensive rebounds. 'O-Max' [Olivier-Maxence Prosper] was thrown out there after Hunter's [Tyson] injury, and he made a couple of baskets and played really well."

Clemson also had a plus 15 rebound margin against Alabama.

Individually, Clemson was led by Al-Amir Dawes with 10 points and three assists, Nick Honor had nine points and three assists, Hunter Tyson chipped in with 9 points, and Jonathan Baehre had 8 points and 8 rebounds.

"When he plays well, that changes us," Brownell said about Baehre. "When he's tipping the ball out, making passes over opposing players and blocking shots from behind, it just changes our team. We need some length out there at times, and we need him to continue playing well."

The Tigers showed off their deep bench as a remarkable 10 players had at least four points tonight.

"That was a really great, gritty win. Our guys defended well and limited Alabama's threes," Brownell said. "Offensively, guys made some tough plays for us. We got some baskets where we were just the tougher team. I'm really proud of our team. This was a really good win against a really good Alabama team."

Brownell also shared that forward Hunter Tyson suffered a concussion and will be out an unspecified amount of time.

Look for the Tigers to enter the top 25 after this win as they now have four power five out of conference wins already on their resume.

Clemson will next face Virginia Tech (4-1) on Tuesday, December 15 at Cassell Coliseum. The game is scheduled to start at 6:30 p.m. on ACC Network.
