2011: First-team All-ACC by CBSSports.com; he became the first Tiger original walk-on to earn All-ACC accolades since 1991, when Rob Bodine earned All-ACC honors as a defensive tackle...Honorable Mention All-ACC selection...had 31 knockdowns in 802 snaps over 13 games (13 starts)...graded 91 percent with four knockdowns in 64 snaps against Troy on Sept. 3...had four knockdowns in playing all 94 snaps against #19 Auburn on Sept. 17...played all 86 snaps against #11 Florida State on Sept. 24...played all 68 snaps at #10 Virginia Tech on Oct. 1...graded 91 percent with three knockdowns in 69 snaps against Boston College on Oct. 8...graded 94 percent in 79 snaps at Maryland on Oct. 15...graded 88 percent with four knockdowns in 82 snaps against North Carolina on Oct. 22...graded 89 percent in playing all 67 snaps at Georgia Tech on Oct. 29...played 47 snaps before suffering an MCL sprain against Wake Forest on Nov. 12 and missed the N.C. 2010: Played 98 snaps over 13 games (one start)...saw action at offensive tackle and as an extra tight end...played nine games on the offensive line...had nine knockdowns...played 19 snaps against North Texas...tied for the team-lead in knockdowns in 21 snaps against Presbyterian College...had an 85-percent grade in seven snaps against Maryland...had an 85-percent grade in seven snaps against Georgia Tech...had two knockdowns and a team-high 88-percent grade in 22 snaps in his first career start (as an extra tight end) at Wake Forest...played six snaps against #17 South Carolina, many of which were as an extra tight end.

2009: Played in every game on special teams and as a reserve tackle in four of the 14 games...took 10 snaps and had a 70 percent film grade from the coaches for his effort...did not play from scrimmage after the Virginia game, but was a big factor in the special teams.

2008: Played two games as a reserve tight end...played six snaps against The Citadel and two snaps against S.C. State.

2007: Red-shirted.

Before Clemson: All-around athlete at Dillon Christian School...played four years of football and helped Dillon Christian to the state A title game and an 11-2 record...played tight end, defensive end, and linebacker...had 13 receptions and six touchdowns to go with 108 tackles and 11 sacks as a senior...had 132 tackles and 14 sacks as a junior...his high school team made it to the playoffs all four years...averaged a double-double in basketball his last two years...all-state in football and basketball as a junior and senior.
