Global Life Field in Arlington, Texas, announced Clemson baseball in a season-opening, six-team field for the 2025 campaign on Friday.

News release: Globe Life Field, home of the World Series-champion Texas Rangers, today announced the field for its 2025 college baseball slate. The venue will host three consecutive weekends of action for the second straight year, and it will mark the fifth consecutive year for college baseball games to be held at Globe Life Field.

Next year’s Shriners Children’s College Showdown will take place Feb. 14-16 and feature six teams – Arizona, Clemson, Louisville, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss, and Texas.

“We are proud to continue our tradition of being a key stop on the college baseball calendar,” said Sean Decker, President of REV Entertainment, the exclusive events partner of the Texas Rangers and Globe Life Field. “Along with Shriners Children’s, we are excited to host new and returning teams at our world-class venue, and look forward to delivering an exciting experience for the schools and their passionate fans.”

Shriners Children’s will benefit from a portion of every ticket sold from all three weekends. All nine games of the 2025 Shriners Children’s College Showdown will be streamed live by FloSports. To commemorate today’s announcement, a patient ambassador from Shriners Children’s will throw out the ceremonial first pitch prior to tonight’s Texas Rangers vs. Los Angeles Angels game at Globe Life Field.

Globe Life Field annually hosts some of the highest-attended games on the college baseball calendar. In 2024, the venue hosted more than 100,000 fans over three weekends. Globe Life Field, which is also the host venue for the Phillips 66 Big 12 Baseball Championship (May 21-25, 2024) has hosted more than 100 college baseball games in its history. Six teams in the 2025 field will be making their first-ever appearance at Globe Life Field: Clemson, Georgia, Louisville, LSU, and Ohio State.

“We’re thrilled to have many of the nation’s premier college baseball teams take the field in support of our life-changing cause,” said Dustin Johnson, national director of sports for Shriners Children’s. “More than 100,000 fans will join us to help our health care system change and improve lives through high-quality specialty medical care.”In addition to the weekend tournaments, Globe Life Field will once again play host to mid-week college games on Feb. 18 (Oklahoma State vs. Texas State), Feb. 19 (UT Arlington vs. Oklahoma), and Feb. 26 (LSU vs. Dallas Baptist).

Home Plate Reserved tickets for all three weekends go on sale on Tuesday, May 21 at 9 a.m. CT at ShrinersShowdown.com and GlobeLifeField.com/CollegeBaseball. This premium offering features the only reserved seating in the stadium and includes reserved parking, early entry, souvenir hat, concessions discounts, souvenir cup with unlimited soft drink refills, access to a private bar and restrooms, and more.
