CLEMSON – Thor’s Hammer has nothing on Seth Beer’s bat.

Clemson’s sensational junior continues to heat up, hitting another homer Saturday, and No. 8 Clemson defeated Boston College 8-3 at Doug Kingsmore Stadium, completing a series sweep. Clemson improves to 22-6 overall and 8-4 in the ACC, while Boston College falls to 9-16 overall and 4-8 in ACC play.

Beer homered in all three games of the series, going 5-for-10 with five runs scored, seven driven in and three homers. For the week, he was 8-for-13 with seven runs scored, four homers and 12 driven in.

Jordan Greene also homered for Clemson Saturday. Travis Marr pitched 3 1/3 strong innings in relief to pick up the win, giving up one hit, walking one and striking out two. Marr improves to 2-0 on the season.
