Donte Grantham named an under the radar freshman

CBSSports.com has released its 20 under-the-radar freshman in College Basketball and Clemson forward Donte Grantham was included on the list.

Skilled forward is the highest rated recruit Brad Brownell has signed since he's been the head coach at Clemson. The 6-7 Grantham can score both inside and out all while possessing a refreshing blend of unselfishness and poise. Don't be surprised if he's a starter in year one for the Tigers.

Official Clemson Bio: Signed in the fall of 2013 with Gabe DeVoe, and both are top-150 prospects ... comes to Clemson after one prep school season at Hargrave Military Academy (Chatham, Va.) ... Hargrave has sent countless players to the Atlantic Coast Conference, including several who went on to play in the NBA ... played at Martinsburg High School in West Virginia and graduated in 2013 after highly decorated playing career ... played point guard until he hit a growth spurt in high school ... has the ability to handle the ball and shoot from long range, according to Brad Brownell ... in the mix for playing time at the two forward positions, especially with the departure of K.J. McDaniels to the NBA ... McDaniels hosted Grantham on his official visit to Clemson ... recruited by Clemson assistant Steve Smith ... majoring in community recreation, camp & sport management.
