Chad Diehl named strength coach at BSH

has been named the new strength and conditioning coach at Boiling Springs high school.

In 2012, he suffered a concussion at the Baltimore Ravens rookie mini-camp and decided to retire from football.

“My wife got hired at Hendrix Elementary as a first grade teacher,” Diehl said. “One of the (Spartanburg District 2) board members asked what (I) was doing now and that they needed a strength coach. I sent my resume in and knew it was something I’d love to do. I’m really excited about it. I was in construction and had to make a quick decision. I love my boss but didn’t see myself having an opportunity to grow.”
