Clemson jumped three spots from #5 to #2 in ESPN's Way-Too-Early Top 25 rankings on Tuesday.

"With junior quarterback Deshaun Watson coming back for what probably will be his final college season, the Tigers might be poised to be even more explosive on offense than they were last season," ESPN's Mark Schlabach wrote. "If Clemson is going to reach the CFP National Championship Game for the second season in a row, however, it's going to have to rebuild its defense. The Tigers should be pretty solid up front, but their secondary remains a concern heading into the summer. Three starting defensive backs left early for the NFL draft, and then cornerbacks Kaleb Chalmers (dismissed from the team) and Adrian Baker (torn knee ligaments) were lost during the spring."

This is ESPN's Top 25 post-spring edition that has TCU, Florida, and Boise State drop out of the polls while Texas A&M, Miami, and Louisville joined the Top 25.

The full Top 25 ranking were Alabama, Clemson, Michigan, Florida State, Oklahoma, LSU, Baylor, Stanford, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Tennessee, USC, Georgia, Ole Miss, Oklahoma State, Michigan State, Washington, Houston, North Carolina, Oregon, Texas A&M, UCLA, Iowa, Miami and Louisville.
