Former Clemson coach's son adds second offer

by -

Clemson was the first team to offer Dallas (Tx.) Highland Park 2020 quarterback Chandler Morris after impressing in his camp workout last week. The former Clemson coach's son added his second offer from a not-too-surprising FBS spot.

His dad and former Clemson offensive coordinator, Chad Morris, made an official offer from the Arkansas Razorbacks he leads now on Friday. Morris is set to take over as a starter for the varsity team for Highland Park this season.

Clemson coach Dabo Swinney talked to his former assistant in extending Clemson's offer recently.

“So I talked to coach Swinney last night before I left and he said now you know you have a spot here and I’d love for you to play for me,” Morris told TigerNet last week. “I didn’t think anything of it until I called my dad later and he told me he talked to Coach Swinney Tuesday night, and Coach Swinney said he was extremely impressed with me and wants to be my first offer now.

“It feels amazing just knowing that someone believes in my talent and the countless hours I’ve put in to have success it’s a blessing to get it.”
