Former Clemson DT re-signs with Bengals

by - Assoc. Editor -

The Cincinnati Bengals have re-signed former Clemson defensive tackle Brandon Thompson to a one-year deal on Thursday according to multiple reports.

Thompson had a season-ending ACL tear and was placed on injured reserve in week 17 last season so this one-year contract will serve him to get healthy and try to re-test the free agent market next season.

In 2015, he played in nine games and had 8 tackles and a half of a sack. In three seasons in the NFL (30 career games, seven starts), he had 71 tackles and three sacks.

Thompson was a third-round draft pick (#93 overall pick) by the Bengals back in 2012 and signed a four-year, $2,636,200 rookie contract.
