4-star 2017 strong-side defensive end Zachary Carter has Clemson in his top four schools on Friday evening according to his Twitter account.

"Thank you to all the coaches who have given me an opportunity but its about that time...Top 4," Carter tweeted.

Carter's top four schools were Clemson, Florida, South Florida and Tennessee.

He is a consensus 4-star defensive end recruit by all the major recruiting services.

He has national offers from Auburn, Clemson, Colorado, Duke, FIU, Florida, Florida Atlantic, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Indiana, Iowa State, Kentucky, Louisville, Maryland, Miami, Michigan, Middle Tennessee State, Mississippi, Mississippi State, Missouri, Nebraska, North Carolina State, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Penn State, Pittsburgh, South Carolina, South Florida, Temple, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Troy, USC, Virginia, Virginia Tech and Western Kentucky. Kentucky was the first school to offer.

In 2014, he had 73 tackles, 6.5 sacks, and four pass deflections.

Carter was in attendance for Clemson's 23-13 win over Florida State in Death Valley last season.
