, a 6-foot-6, 280-pound rising senior, will pick a college Friday. Mallard Creek coach Mike Palmieri said Humphries would announce his commitment during a 7 p.m. ceremony at school Friday. Humphries is the top recruit in North Carolina, ranked No. 3 overall nationally by rivals.com and No. 7 by ESPN. Palmieiri said Humphries will choose from these finalists: Clemson, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and Tennessee. Humphries, a B student, will graduate from Mallard Creek in December and enroll in his new school in January. "He just wants to get the process over," Palmieri said. "He doesn't want to do it during the season and wants to focus on what we do." He has good feet, great athleticism, and long arms. Humphries has not allowed a sack since he was a freshman in high school. He is getting better and better each year. He grew up in South Carolina. Won MVP at the Blacksburg Nike Camp in May 2010. Has only played one year of Offensive line. Played mostly DT prior to 2010. Named No. 15 overall recruit in the nation and No. 1 in the Carolinas by national analyst Tom Lemming. The Observer named Humphries the top junior in the state. Class of 2012 ESPNU 150 Watch List Recruit. He has accepted invitation to the U.S. Army All-American Bowl. #2 rated player and 5 star recruit based on the 2012 AthleteVault NC/SC Rankings.
