committed to Clemson on Wednesday night. Tankersley played all over the field for Silver Bluff (Aiken, SC) but projects to play in the defensive backfield for the Tigers. As a junior, Tankersley rushed for 1,520 yards and 21 touchdowns. He also threw for 846 yards and two scores and played defensive back on passing downs. He is also a standout on the baseball team. Tankersley is the nephew of former Silver Bluff star and NFL veteran Dwayne Bates. He was recruited by Clemson assistant Charlie Harbison and also had offers from South Carolina, Minnesota and Miami(FL).
