is rated the state's No. 2 prospect this year by Rivals.com. But Bullard, a 6-foot-4, 255-pounder, doesn't list a single in-state school among his final three of Clemson, Florida and South Carolina. "The North Carolina teams have have been mediocre, good some years and not good other years,'' Bullard said after Tuesday's afternoon workout with the North Carolina Shrine Bowl team at Spartanburg High School. "I always had certain teams I liked growing up. The three I'm down to are great schools that growing up I'd say, 'I would like to play for that team.' There just hasn't been a team in (North Carolina) to stand out for me like that.'' Also, 247Sports.com analyst J.C. Shurburtt has indicated that Jonathan Bullard is "leaning towards Clemson." As a junior, Bullard tallied 107 tackles, 25 tackles for loss and 16 sacks. His mother went to high school with Clemson secondary coach Charlie Harbison. Bullard has taken several visits to Clemson. Has accepted to play in the US Army All-American Game. He had MVP honors at the VTO Top 100 North Carolina Camp. #7 rated player and 5 star recruit based on the 2012 AthleteVault NC/SC Rankings.
