From Times and Democrat:
“Carolina was good,” he said. “I went to the basketball game, and I talked to coach (Everette) Sands and coach (Steve) Spurrier Jr. “At Clemson, I talked to their new defensive coordinator (Brent) Venables, and coach Swinney called me into the office when I first got there.” At Alabama’s Junior Day, Crosby Jr. was called into the office of head coach Nick Saban. “We sat down and he said, ‘I’m going to offer you a scholarship,’” Crosby Jr. remembered. “Then he just laid out the whole outline of the school, what they expect and what they don’t expect. He said, ‘You are a student before you are an athlete.’ “I enjoyed it. It was a surprise. I had never been to Alabama and the coaches treated me right. Coach (Chris) Rumph (a St. Matthews native) is my recruiting guy, and he recruited Ricky (Sapp) and Da’Quan (Bowers) to Clemson so that was nice.”
