Marlboro County linebacker Lateek Townsend was named to U.S. Army All-American game on Tuesday. He joins Clemson commitment and Dorman wide receiver Charone Peake as the only two players from South Carolina currently named to the team.
Townsend plans to announce his college choice during halftime of the U.S. Army game. Townsend said at the ceremony he has no favorites between his top five of LSU, South Carolina, Florida, Southern Cal, and Clemson. Townsend had 132 tackles this season, including 15 tackles for loss and four sacks.
