I love it. I love a full blown Lunatic Fringe meltdown. He is going to win 20 games again. He is going to the tournament. He is your basketball coach. Some of y’all need to study Clemson basketball history and then check yourselves. If you hate watching Clemson basketball win and cannot stand the fact the team will not roll over and quit after a difficult ACC loss then go watch softball. We will not miss you.

No one hates Brownell. By all accounts he's a very nice man. No one wants us to lose. We want to win. We want to win more. More wins than Brownell's 14 year average.
But these goobers are all so giddy that Brad will yet again have a cicada season that's just good enough to saddle us with a mediocre coach for another 14 years. They must hate Clemson. A lot.

How many times has Clemson made the tournament in their 113 year basketball history? Only 13 times. Clemson has never been good at basketball. There is no big name coach or players who is willing to come here.

I didn’t bother to look but I’m guessing OSU has a much richer BB history and it’s not a football school. Therefore, they have a right to set high standards for their program. Apples and oranges.

Since when has Ohio State not been a football school? They may also have a rich basketball history, which shows both are possible. No one hates Brownlee, just saying mediocrity doesn’t have to be the standard. I want to see Clemson dominate every sport. I just don’t think 4 NCAA tournament appearances in 14 years is a good thing. Especially if there are schools firing coaches for having a mediocre season after making the tournament 4 out of six years. Heck that could be our standard here at Clemson. I could live with going to the tournament 4 out of every 6 years.

They have also won 22 regular season titles been to the final four 10 times won the conference tournament five times and have been to at least the sweet 16 twenty or more times. Not really an apples to apples comparison but I do understand your point.

vast improvement since arrival, continues success at the mediocre level.
Check out his ACC tournament record, that will really make you proud to have him as our basketball coach. I mean, 14 years is all he has had to turn things around, nearly an entire generation with the same lackluster results outside of 1 of those 14 years which was a fantastic run indeed.
I do not dislike the man he is, I just do not agree that his continued middle of the road records can be labelled as a "success" by any style of measurement

100% false. If he won with regularity, games that Clemson ought to win, we'd be full steam ahead with him. But when you beat UNC on their floor, then have a Quad 3 loss, it infuriates us. It's like "we've turned the corner!" and in the next breath "here we go again ugggh."
How dare you use softball as part of your insult. Softball is far and away a more successful program than MBB. I think the student-athletes that compete for us have more in them; it's the coaching that's faulty.
If Brad wins an ACC title, I'll leave him alone for three years. If he wins the NCAA tournament, I'll give him a pass for life. If we lose in the first round of both, it's just same old Bradball.
