I know it is obvious to CU fans, but lets compare UNC/VT last night vs CU/ND last year. Both QB's had depleted or new WR's and not much time in the pocket.

DJU kept CU in the game and in a position to win with 400+ yards. Howell did not rise to the occasion under adversity. I did not see anything special in his performance.

Not to even mention the relative levels of college football experience heading into the games for both QB's.

VT was moving the ball really well most the game, yet didn't score very many points. And the VT defense looked really solid to, almost shutting out overhyped UNC.

I guess we'll have to wait a few more games to see if this game was an anomaly. VT is either really good this year, or tarholes are really bad. Either way, that should end the Howell Heisman talk.
