11-point Deficit

From the 28 Observations article: "Clemson's 11-point deficit overcome was it's largest in a bowl game since since overcoming a 16-point deficit against Ohio State in the 2019 Fiesta bowl."

While, the Fiesta Bowl was a bigger game in that it was a playoff bowl, the 2019 team was stacked offensively and was built to overcome such a deficit.

I feel much better about this 11-point deficit being overcome considering the state of the team this year. When Kentucky ran the opening kick of the second half back for a touchdown, I pretty much accepted that it was over. Our offense had shown no signs all year of being able to claw it's way back after that. IMO it showed alot of heart and grit for this team to overcome it's own shortcomings and get this big win.

I agree. I think this was a much needed confidence builder this offense needed. I think with the addition of Matt Luke as the OL coach, and the fact we only lose, I think, one OL starter is going to be huge for the offense going into next season.

We need to build off of this.

It was an unusual game. Once we hit the fourth quarter it seemed to be a different team than the previous 3. Od course the turnovers helped

I agree. It was quite unusual. To me it felt like the Tiger team from the first half of the season would have found a way to lose, but the team they have grown into has the fight in them to find a way to win by any means necessary.
