about Clemson being underservingly left out of the playoffs! Because that seems to be the biggest argument coming from those of you upset about FSU being left out. It's a moot point.
WE were never left out of any playoff that we won the ACC Championship, even with 1 loss, because WE had BETTER teams than a ducktaped together FSU of 2023.

Two loss sec and big 10 schools will be given priority over two loss ACC, Big 12, undefeated group of five schools. The only thing that guarantees us getting in the playoffs is to go undefeated.

As I have posted elsewhere - have you looked at who makes up the actual voting CFP Committee?? It ain't a bunch of SEC/Big10 homers - in fact they only have 2 total reps (Kentucky and Michigan) out of the 13 on the Committee. Do you really think these 2 guys are corrupting upstanding guys like Jim Grobe to favor the SEC/Big10 at the expense of everyone else?
Take a look at the members:
Chis Ault - Retired head coach at Nevada where he spent most of his career
Mitch Barnhart - AD at Kentucky
Boo Corrigan - AD NC State
Chet Gladchuk - AD Navy Academy
Jim Gobe - Retired head coach of Wake Forest, Baylor and numerous other non SEC/Big10 schools
Mark Harlan - AD Utah
Warde Manuel - AD Michigan
David Sayler - AD Miami of Ohio
Will Shields - retired football player - Pro Football Hall of Fame player who graduated from Nebraska in 1993
Gene Taylor - AD Kansas State
Joe Taylor - Former head coach of numerous HBC institutions
Rod West - Group President, Utility Operations for Entergy Corporation with degrees from Notre Dame and Tulane
Kelly Whiteside - Professor, Montclair State University with degrees from Columbia and Rutgers
So tell me again how all these people who are not associated with the SEC/Big10/ESPN are part of some evil cabal to keep Clemson and the ACC down in the dumps?? Does it even cross your mind that maybe these folks are actually doing the independent job for which they were tasked and just came up with a different conclusion than you?

way to arrive at a champion. Can you imagine if the Braves won their division, but a "committee" determined that the Padres who finished 3rd in their division were "better", and gave that playoff spot to them? I understand that college football is different and we can't play as many games and there are some practical issues that we don't face with other sports, but we are stuck because we won't move on from what has evolved from the antiquated bowl/poll system; we just can't accept that that paradigm no longer serves us well. Well, at least we are making progress next year.

Well, FSU did “just play the games” and came out 13-0. Perfection must not be as good as almost perfect 12-1. Some of us do fully understand the corporate structure of the CFP Administration, LLC. Query - why doesn’t the committee offer full transparency on the process, their comments, how they voted, etc.? Winning used to be the ultimate litmus test. Now it is just another metric in their subjective and arbitrary process.

Maybe because it cost the ACC many millions of dollars? Not only did the ACC lose money, it went to the SEC that was already eating our lunch money wise.
Also, I hope FSU pulls exactly the same stunt and refuses to play on the day of the Orange Bowl.

It's not so much whether fsu got in or not. It's all about perception. It's all about recruiting and money. It's doubtful 2 teams from the acc would go. It's about my team getting dragged down by this boat anchor called the acc.
Like it or not, kids want to play against competition that enhance their ability to make the NFL.

Clemson has been doing quite well. You'd be better off arguing about NIL if you're concerned about kids choosing us over the competition of the BIG10 and SEC. Nothing and I mean nothing this year's FSU team has done, or had done to them, will affect Clemson's recruiting. That is on Dabo and his band of coaches.

It's the long term implications. We'll be forever lumped in with the other g5 teams now. We'll be at the disadvantage now that a Cincinnati, byu, etc are at in recruiting now.
There's a reason why recruits don't go to g5 schools now.

The final CFP Committee rankings of 2023 do not support your fears. No 1 loss team is left out of the top 12 under a 2 loss SEC or Big10 team. Unless you are upset that Liberty at 13 and 0 are sitting at #23?

Peeling it back a little though, what this "committee" said was "we don't really care all the things you did to win, we are looking at the teams that are in front of us and we think these 9 SEC teams with 2 or 3 losses could beat the two ACC teams that only have 1 loss if they played right now...regardless of SOS, SOR, quarterback has a hang nail or that your defense was good as crap and you only needed to score 1 touchdown a game to win..whatever. We no longer value on field, we are just saying that they look like they are better than you and we think if you played them they would win so we are putting them in and you can go to the holiday bowl." I'm not a FSU fan, but this was bad precedent. Bama struggled several times this year to just win. Conveniently the "######" plays out for Bama and coupled with auburn taking the dive on 4th and 31...makes you wonder about the integrity of college football.
