14.5 year old pup is starting to have issues

My pointer, border collie mix, Mr Judge, is getting old and it's starting to show more and more lately. Last night he woke me up at 1am pooping in the bedroom and it was filled with blood. His health has been gradually declining the past few months but other than some extra trips to the vet to express his #### glands and check on new lumps, he has been fine. Last night was edtra concerning so I took him to the vet this morning. Basically nothing new came up... he'll be 15 in April and now I'm worried he won't make it that long. Quality of life will be my biggest concern now but I'm not looking forward to the inevitable.

I guess, I'm asking for some t&p's for this dude (and myself and daughter too) as we go through this.
