2 car garage built

May 1, 2023, 10:30 PM

Do anyone know of somebody who could built me a 2-car detached garage. I have blueprints.

Wish I could help you with a recommendation, but

it hard as crap to find tradesmen here in Eastern NC.

Sucks, particularly when you age.

At least I'm still on the green side of the grass :)

What's the sq ft you're building? Second level?

Any projections on cost?

A good size for a 2 car would be around 600-800 square feet depending on how roomy you want it!!! 600 for 2 compact cars, 800 for 2 full size cars/pickup and a full size car!!!

844 sq ft 24X26. One level gable roof. So far one offer 34000 just to put it up and shingles on the roof. I supply the 2 garage doors and electricity

It's already built so you're good to go!***

About anybody who can read a square, a tape measure, and pull the trigger on a framing gun!!!

Apparently, that guy is sometimes hard to find.

I added a 12x24 addition to my garage a couple years ago. 70 year old me and a 76 year old neighbor did the whole thing. Hardest part was probably pouring the 8 yards of concrete. The 76 year old shingled it by himself!

Sounds great. I’m considering it too.

I have built two about that same size...

The hardest part was pouring the concrete slabs (getting them level and flat) and setting the roof trusses.

Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

roof trusses are the hardest part hands down

concretes just a messy job.. worth the money to have some 1 do it.
