3Man Front vs Wake

I was unable to watch the game.

How many total plays did our defense utilize a three-man front defensively?

Against their slow mesh I wondered if it would be effective with our strength in the middle?

despise the 3 man concept but curious if anyone noticed it against weak florist

a good plan against the slow mesh. A lot of our success against them seem to be built on knocking their OL back into the qb and rb to disrupt the play. That seems harder to do with less upfront to get that push.

I don't think Dabo is a huge fan of the 3 man front anymore. We got to much depth at DT to keep an extra man in the middle off the field. Just need to keep to our strengths, 4 man rush with an extra man or 2 blitzing at times.

dictated by who you are playing against and situation. Sometimes you show it and sometimes you show 4 and immediately drop to 3. Like everything else, you are trying to screw with the qb and get him to make a mistake in passing situation. Also, with the dline we have you're still able to pressure with 3 against a lot of teams - especially with XTs speed(if they would just call the holds). You also can fool the oline with some delayed pressures. We have had some very successful plays with 3 man fronts this year. And if the official does his job in the FSU game, that drive everyone points back to before half, never happens.
