b/c they need couple good Southern football teams to complete their Sea to Shining Sea deal..
and they may pay up to 50% of our fee to get out of ACC..
plus SEC may just put up 33% to help and they have a problem with UF & uscJR won’t approve FSU & us.

big name at uscJr is upset that SEC may bring in Clemson..
and SEC does not want the BIG in the South and have big names such as FSU & Clemson.
Could be a toss up & a bidding war for us!!

You guys have no idea how the SEC works. If the office wants it then the vote will be 100% for. See the Texas/Oklahoma vote. There is NO hatred worse than A&M toward Texas. They were told to vote for and they did. Two or three schools couldn't block a team out anyway, takes more votes than that. We go all in together. That's why the SEC pulls for each other.

You need to worry about the Coots kicking your teeth in again. It’s starting to look like your “big” season last year was a blip on the radar. Your fan base has the biggest mouths for a program that hasn’t done sheeiitt in 25 years.

to me that the SEC would con the act of the B1G playing football games every week in the Deep South, thereby giving them greater inroads in recruiting.
The B1G, who I believe to be the real aggressor in realignment would see to it that the likes of Ohio State, Michigan, Penn State, etc. would march right into our stadiums with hoopla galore the likes of which would rival any fizz and pop on ESPN.
I would acquaint it to inviting the entire Gamecock staff and team in on our planning sessions for our games with them. What demented moron would stand for that?

to the GOR!
The BIG sees Clemson and FSU as its inroads to the South and its okan to be the ONLY truly national conference. The SEC definitely sees that as the threat that it is and does not want the BIG into its territory in the South, and will try to block that move.
Bidding war between multibillion dollar entities for the long term future of each of their conferences ensues, and the result...the GOR problem is solved!

If we joined BIG guess I could kiss goodbye going to away games.
I would kinda like the SEC because even though I don't often go to away games there would be a bunch of them reasonably close to travel to the day of the game, stay the night, and come home on Sunday.
For that reason alone BIG is not a good fit to me personally. I get the money they get being an important part, but I don't get any money from a conference switch (duh!).
