A lot of focus on Cade progressing but/and

it feels like it’s more of an emergence of Garret Riley’s offense that is manifest through CK2 as a vessel.
What do I mean? TB6 is starting to look (really) good, Stellato is starting to look good, Beaux is making big plays down field, etc. Two-headed monster at RB. It seems like the offense is generally getting some footing and get comfortable. Hopefully, Randall can gain some confidence and emerge. But it feels like the offense as a whole is starting to get more explosive and dynamic.

I agree. I think Riley's scheme has a lot to do with it. But I've also seen improvement from Cade each game this year.
But it seems like we are finally starting to make opposing defenses pay for stacking the box on us (or playing 1 high safety). Wouldn't be surprised if our run game really gets going these next few games as other teams start to respect the downfield threat.

Agree - not trying to take away from CK2's progress just commenting that it is holistic.

The passing game is definitely starting to look better

but we did still only have 389 yards on 72 plays. That's 5.4 yards per play which is still pretty mediocre. The offense is definitely still a work in progress. The running game is too inconsistent right now and has been a liability in short yardage situations.
Hidden in all those stats though is several PI calls on Cuse that were a result of us being more aggressive throwing downfield. It's not reflected in the offensive numbers, but certainly should not be ignored.

Part of that seemed like game management and inconsistencies. 'Cuse made the choice to have the yards in penalties instead of big plays down the field.
Hope to see the offense continue to grow in this direction.

Those things go hand in hand. Can't install the entire offense until the QB gets going. Take a look at the tape from the Duke game and CSU. Cade was staring down his first read and not moving on to the next one. Now he's looking off safeties, sliding in the pocket and so much more confident when he throws the ball. It has slowed down for him.
Both deserve some credit. The OL has to get it together now.

Yes - TL16 and DW4 were so good at working the defense with their eyes. Can't wait to see CK2 mature that part of his game, along with improvising in the passing game (starting to see it) and running the ball if there is a good lane on pass plays...

Cade is getting better in the system.
But, he still tends to lock onto receiver and on 3 passes in 2nd half the defender could have made the pick and possibly scored afterward.
Now, it did not happen and all is well....but those are situations where his ability to move defenders with his eyes and get comfortable with where receivers are going to be that can make a huge difference. It is easy to see that Cade LOVES to throw on the move, and Tyler Brown knows where to go when Cade escapes and gives him a nice target. That happened multiple times Saturday, it was great to see.
Need to role him out more and bring Tyler with him for some great opportunities, excited to see the growth from the team. Things "seem" to be coming together, but still improvement can be made.

The problem with rolling him out by design is it cuts the field in half. If you can flood the zone by doing it but against man it gets really crowded and makes for tight, tight windows. It's fine as a wrinkle here and there when you expect zone but cutting the field in half limits your options. I'd rather we encourage him to hit the top of his drop, make the read to #2 if #1 isn't there. If #2 is covered, get rid of the ball or get out of the pocket.

It does in theory cut down the lanes to throw, but you can also roll out and throw back across to field to a crosser, such as a TE leaking out the other way or maybe a quick slot guy/running back and get a lot of open space with a speedster.
You are right though, you cannot do it too much or else you put the QB in harms way because he may have to run many of those times if the defense is sticking with the release guy...and also if you do it too much, as with any formation/play, the defense begins to suspect it and starts to figure it out.
I think it has been more of a scramble from Cade to get into positions where he can get out on the edge and see that side of the field well and makes some impressive passes.
