TNTiger17 said it best. There must have been a promise made. CDS is not one to fail on a promise. It’s the only reason I can think why there has been no QB change.

2 more games. Hang tight Tigers. It’s going to be bumpy.

We may not win the acccg. I’m not sure we would win the Orange Bowl.

At this point, I’m ready to fast forward to Spring and a new era.

I’ll watch and cheer but that was painful to watch yesterday.

Was his promise that DJ would never be pulled no matter how poorly he played?

Is Dabo putting the feelings of one players above what's best for the program?

Agree. What pro team is going to draft DJ before the third or fourth round as a value bet? The pro scouts have seen the same games we have seen the past two years. DJ will have to return. Cade does not.

And that’s a big if, there was a promise made if he came back for one more year, then one can assume that if CDS kept his promise, then DJ would fulfill his end in one year.

It wouldn’t surprise me if he hung up his cleats and went back west.

I believe you are most likely correct. Dabo has stated repeatedly that DJ graduates in December. While he's stated nothing regarding next season, I think it's logical to predict DJ will be gone at the end of this year regardless of the NFL or eligibility. DJ may not even have NFL aspirations, who knows.

If the rumors are true about DJ wanting to quit and Dabo talking him into coming back (no link, sorry, just read it more than once here on T-Net) then that would explain a lot about how this season has unfolded regarding the quarterback situation. It's not a satisfactory reason, but still one that can explain why DJ has not been benched.

There's too many rabbit holes with all of this theorizing, and personally I'm not up to the task of exploring each one because we'll never get a real answer from anyone. All we'll continue to do is spin one theory after another, and I'm not a conspiracy theorist.

Is DJ better than Cade? Is he coming back? Will Cade transfer? How does Vizzina fit into the picture? These are all questions none of us can answer right now and any attempt to is pure guesswork on our part.
