In your opinion, do we need style points?

Or are we okay with “foot off the gas“ for the second and third team experiences when we are up big?
Louisville looks to be playing good btw. Good game coming up.

Nah, we don’t need style points. It’s just media making money. The cfp committee has us in if we win out, no matter what the score.

Winning out may not be enough. As dabo said, just win by a point.....if we do that, we are left out at seasons end. The acc is a dumpster fire. It is what it is.

If we win all of our remaining games by one point. We'll be celebrating another national championship. It is what it is.

DEFINITELY!!! With our weak strength of schedule, we need..

to show by blowout scores just how good we are.
Perception is everything at the top of college football. Taking our foot off the gas after halftime isn't going to get it done.
Bama and other teams don't ease off - we shouldn't either.

Absolutely without question it’s best to give your second and third stringers meaningful reps. I can’t believe this is a discussion. Save starters from hits, build depth, keep winning. Zero chance we go undefeated and get left out. ZERO. And go back to January for what happens when you build depth, you blow the doors off of teams who don’t.

Now! Dabo has a plan for everything for at least the next year! He’s won 2 of the last 3 when we really had no respect. Trust Dabo to take us as far as we can go!! He’s the best coach in football period!

Yes he is- anyone want to dispute that, then answer why little Nikki saban is copying Dabo now... as is every other coach trying to. Key words Trying.
Dabo’s 10 moves ahead all of us.

Yes. We need style points. We beat, in reality, Tex A&M 24-3 - but we had to get all the subs reps until we DIDN'T beat them by 21 - - we beat them by 14. Alabama beat A&M by 19 for REAL. That was the best they could do, but it APPEARS Bama beat them worse than we did.
FSU. We could have beaten them by a lot more, and we could have prevented 1 if not BOTH of those scores they put on us. FSU "of old" murdered everyone - per the B.Bowden philosophy. "It's YOUR job to stop us - IF you can. I can't help it if you CAN'T."
We could get plenty of "reps" for the subs by letting them play until the opponent gets it to say - our 45. Then put the #1s back in to prevent trash points. On the other side - put in the offense #2s or 3s, but if they can't cross the 50 - put the #1s back in for the next series.
This method gets reps for subs - but also gets the #1s out of the mindset that they can take an entire half off every week. How does taking a half off prepare your #1s for a really tough game against quality opponents down the road? Such as - OHST, Bama, WIS, LSU, Penn St, OKLA?
This isn't last year's ALL-TIME GREAT team. With this schedule, yes we should still sub - but not to the extent that we get "UCF-d" right out of the playoffs. Style points? Yeah - we need 'em - and we had 'em last year. Hanging 59 on FSU; 77 on L-ville; 60 (or 63?) on Wake; 56 on Scar; 30 on N.Dame; 44 on Bama - etc.
For us - a 1-point win vs UNC is viewed by the majority as a loss. It's technically not, of course, but when yesterday's TV announcers just assumed we'd lost that game - that gives an idea of how people think, no matter how uninformed they are. Should we assume the "CFP Committee" is any brighter? You can look up who's on that committee this year (or any year) - and it's not all that encouraging. Lots of people who aren't all that football savvy.
We need to stop having as a goal - "How many bench riders can we put in each game" - and put the main focus on beating the rest of the schedule by 50+.
Then to seal it - have Scar beat Florida & some others - then WE go down to Cootlumbia and whip them - plus the ACC Coastal Champ.
This is a year where 2 SEC teams could get in; or 2 Big 10s could (or both) - plus OKLA - and we sit at #5 or #6 looking in. So YES - style points & winning out count A LOT this year.

Dabo is a motivational genius and is the best coach in America but until we totally destroy somebody, we will be swimming against the swift tide of those that say we’re broken or not what they thought we’d be. In a perfect world winning should be enough but in this case....it’s not.

No, we don't need style points.

We need close games with our guys being under the pressure to perform or lose. We need experience and stress for our three deep. Putting them in the game when there's nothing left to do to secure the win doesn't put the pressure they need to desentize them to pressure.
Most coaches would love the luxury of substituting like Dabo. Their lack first string talent which can be reinserted and score in two minutes or stop a driving offense at the 1 yrd line no matter how good the opponent is.
No, there is a plethora of reasons not to run up the score. I've only listed a few of the major ones.
