Virginia and Cuse not helping much. Good to see Pitt get a little better. If only VT had beaten Tenn, and UNC had beaten UGA...

B1G?

Besides Ohio St beating the annually overrated Sooners; nothing says the B1G is worth anything.
Check Iowa and Wisconsin's scores and who they played today.
What Michigan beat Colorado? How long has it been since Colorado fielded a good team? Not this century.
Wisky beating LSwho has zero bragging rights.
And Oregon (Nebraska's 3 point win at home today) needs to give up the trickery with the 2 point conversions, since the rule change this year; shows the kicking teams hand - advantage D. Just like GT should abandon their O strategy, with the no chop block rule change.
I'd say the ACC and PAC are the two conferences that have multiple playoff contenders of the Power 5 options, first, followed by the Big 12.

And MSU beat Notre Dame. You forgot to try and rationalize why all 6 top 25 teams aren't good.

I did not forget to note certain perennial preseason media overhyped teams.

Texas beat ND, too, you know?
Michigan St 28 Furman 13, with a late 4th quarter Michigan St TD after Furman threw a pick on Michigan St's 40 yardline whichade the score look better. How long since Furman fielded a contender team, Coot?
This is not last year, the only year since Lou was coach at ND in which ND was actually worthy of their ranking. Including, the year they barely beat everyone, then went on to get curb- stomped by Bama in the nation championship.
ACC: Louisville and Clemson
PAC: Stanford and Washington
Big 12: TCU and Baylor (Texas ain't there yet)
SEC: Bama with a slight possibility of aTm, because Bama ain't that strong this year.
B1G: Ohio St

There are so many holes in your argument it's unreal.
You are dismissing Michigan for no reason. Somehow Wisconsin win over LSU isn't good at all, with no argument. Nebraska's win isn't good because you don't agree with Oregon's coach. And somehow youve decided only one year of beating ND on the road matters, even though they have a potential overall #1 pick at QB.
Also, how does TCU make the list? They just lost to Arkansas.

So Michigan state isn't elite because they didn't beat Furman by enough, but Clemson is because they beat Troy by 6 and had a controversial no call fumble returned for a TD.
Washington ha played some real powerhouses. Good argument on TCU as well.
Ignoring that the big 10 looks good is just putting your head in the sand.

Troy ain't Furman and Clemson played young guys early to create depth.
Did Michigan St do so game 1? No!

So in your rankings losing to Arkansas and beating Portland St. handily means more than beating ND on the road.
There is no logic.

Michigan St don't this year, in my book.

They basically have had all off season to prepare for the ND game. Played Furman week 1 and had week 2 off.
They do not have the RB of the past and a new QB who is not a world-beater.
I get you are tied into their coach.
Why is it the B1G is having so much trouble with subdivision teams? Hmm...
Come see me at season's end.

and will be tough should Harbuagh stick around long enough.
Can they make the playoffs this year?
Possibly, if they do not make a mistake along the way and beat Ohio St, because the B1G is not that tough.
I do not feel they have what it takes this year.
