Will put the women's race out of reach. Best hopes for the teams is try & secure Top 3 team finishes in the final events.
Hopefully both teams can try to contend for the outdoor ACC team titles after they get some A-As next month @ indoor NCAA meet.

Really interesting situation coming down to the wire for the women

Clemson is in second, trailing Virginia Tech by 6.5 points. The 3000 meters, shot put, and long jump are all still in progress, with the 4x4 still left to run as the last event. Numerically, the Tigers still have a chance to catch Tech.
The good news is Clemson has Shantae Foreman in the triple jump, one of the top 5 competitors in the nation in that event. Clemson also has one of the best 4x4 teams in the conference, while VT by contrast has one of the worst. That would offer a potential opportunity to make up the deficit.
The bad news is that Virginia Tech has Victoria Gorlova in the triple jump, who is an elite competitor in her own right with multiple ACC championships already under her belt. She and Foreman will likely be the top 2, and even if Shantae can beat her, if Gorlova finishes second, it would mean that Clemson would only gain 2 points on the Hokies in that event, effectively neutralizing a major comeback opportunity for the Tigers from the triple jump, despite how elite Foreman is. What's even worse is that Katrin Brzyszkowska and Katie Seyfang just finished 2nd and 6th respectively in the shot put. Clemson had no competitors in that event. Unfortunately, that will give VT a big enough lead that it will be difficult for the Tigers to catch them, even with a great Clemson performance coupled with a poor VT finish in the 4x4. I think it's still technically possible though.

On the men's side, with the conclusion of the first heat of the 4x4, North Carolina has clenched the championship. Florida State will finish second. Clemson and VT are both guaranteed to finish no worse than fourth; the Tigers currently have a 1-point lead over the Hokies. So the battle will be between Tech and Clemson for 3rd place overall in the 4x4. They are the top 2 4x4 teams in the conference, so it should be a good battle.

Men lose to Tech in the 4x4. Rhoden ran a heck of an anchor, but you just can't go into the last leg with Judson Lincoln already having the lead. He's just too good. Hamm and Kidd in the 2 and 3 spots got outrun by their Hokie counterparts, and that ended up being the difference. The men will finish fourth, VT clinches third.

Virginia Tech has clinched the tile yet again. Clemson is in good position to finish second barring a calamity in the 4x4. Shantae Foreman beats Gorlova to win the triple jump.

Women finish 3rd in the 4x4 to comfortably hold on to second place overall. All events are now final and official, so barring some unforeseen protest or review, that'll be it. The women finish second and the men finish fourth.
