Aggressive defense

The defense was a lot more aggressive last night than I remember them being pretty much any other game this year. We were in their backfield a lot and that is what I was expecting to see this year. Seemed like pressure was coming from everywhere. Carter, Trotter and Woodaz combined for 23 tackles, 5.5 TFL, and 3 sacks. D Line was disruptive as well. It certainly seemed to make a difference. I wonder why we haven’t done as much of that this year and hope it continues. The defense is fun to watch when they attack aggressively and live in the opponent’s backfield.

See all year. I guess it is better late than never, but man o man, wish they had that fire all year long. It seemed like they were either overthinking at times or they were trying to do too much because they didn’t trust their teammates to do their jobs. Play fast and furious and your position and let it fly!

Yea. It almost seemed like they were trying to protect the secondary by not blitzing as much. I still like the plan that it’s hard to complete passes when you are flat on your back. I think our LBs are better at blitzing than they are in pass coverage.
