Here are actually pulling for us not to make the tournament ( though they won't admit it) because they have this uncalled for hatred of Brownell. You might disagree with his win-loss results some seasons but the wrath against him by some on this board is vile and insane. He represents Clemson well and I happen to think he is an excellent coach as well. I guess these folks want an outlaw like the guy at Auburn and Alabama as long as they " win baby win" ? A sad commentary on the state of affairs by some spoiled brats.

pulling for us to lose and expecting us to falter down the stretch after being in 1st place in the ACC by multiple games. It is, how we say, unsurprising. What’s also unsurprising is the shill cries from the Brad Bois whenever anyone points this out, as they lash out full of hateful hatey hate. Why it’s almost as if they aren’t fans of Clemson, just fans (or relatives or employees) of the Bradster. Almost.
We all want what’s best for Clemson, don’t we? Is this it?

regardless of sport.
some want success short term regardless of the perceived long term/big picture, some want short term failure to improved the perceived long term/big picture, some don't/can't even see the big picture.........regardless, all Clemson fans want the same thing for the program, but differ on the perceived path in which to get to "success".

1. I hope we never lose a basketball game ever again that Brad Brownell is coaching for us. I hope we put up undefeated season after undefeated season and we pay him as much or more than we pay Dabo - if that is financially responsible.
2. In close to 13 years - he has the 2nd WORST won-loss record of any Clemson coach not named Shyatt in the last 48 years. The 2nd WORST percentage. These are facts.
3. If by "he represents Clemson well" - you mean he isn't out whore-mongering & getting DUI's and all that - then I agree. I DO NOT think he represents Clemson's PASSION for winning basketball very well AT ALL. He has no fire & he doesn't have a vision or a plan for what he wants Clemson Basketball to be. If he DOES have that, I've never heard him talk about it. I've never heard him talk about goals, plans, objectives - ever.
He showed up at a press conference a few weeks again and started off with something like - "I guess I'm supposed to be here to talk about some stuff, right ?" - I am paraphrasing this but put it in quotes so you could get the gist of what parts he said.
4. If you think he is an "excellent coach" - then mine & your's definition of Excellence is WILDLY different.
No - I don't want cheating & Bruce Pearl-esque type of shenangins, etc - but if we can attract top-tier talent to other athletic programs, we SHOULD be able to in basketball as well. In my opinion - what is lacking is the PRESENTATION by the head coach - and the passion about what he is doing.
5. Who in their right mind would say we are "spoiled brats" in basketball ? ? We have sucked for over 100 years - with very few exceptions.
I know this will not change what you think about "us" one iota - you probably won't even read it.
I don't hate BB - I don't even know him. All I see is a guy that is paid a lot of money & hasn't done much of anything other than have the 2nd worst winning percentage in the last 48 years at Clemson.
Go Tiger Basketball - Win 'em All - Win the ACC Tourney - CHANGE the narrative !

Fire Brownell when he's having the best season he's ever had and Clemson men bball just set an ACC win record. Probably the same group on social media that didn't want Clemson to make the CFP playoffs and wanted Dabo to throw away the ACC Championship to get Cade Klubnik playing time. Mind you this was just a few weeks after they were all praising and apologizing to DJ after he won the Wake Forrest game. These people are propeller heads.
Dabo has addressed these toxic fans multiple times the past 2 years. Multiple other coaches and players and brought this up in the past 12 months like Tony Elliot, Xavier Thomas and now Cade Klubnik.
Eventually they are going to #### Dabo off and he's just gonna leave. His contract buyout kinda looks like its setup for him to go to Bama in 4-5 years.

But if Brownell can't make the NCAA Tourney this year, it's time to go. Hope we win out and Brownell proves me wrong but his history is of not making the Tourney. That was a requirement of his employment this year.

I don't fault him as a "coach". I think he sucks as a recruiter. We never have the talent we need to compete.
